WONMP is an international organization dedicated to establishing and promoting recognized standards of competence, compliance and
safety in Pastoral Medicine for the protection and benefit of the public.
---------------------
Pastoral Medicine is a health care model that blends scripture based rules for physical, mental and spiritual health with scripturally valid science, to preserve good health and to prevent and remediate the chronic health problems that plague modern society. Pastoral Medicine also has an important role in disaster relief.
WONMP
establishes standards for the instruction and delivery of Pastoral Medicine including:
- The accreditation of universities
and specialized schools that offer coursework in scripturally valid natural health; coursework
that blends nature with science and remains scripturally valid, and/or
coursework focused in any area of scripture that applies scriptural messages for physical, mental or spiritual
health.
- The accreditation of training programs focused in any area as described above.
- The provision for CEU credit
(approved by NCCAOM for most State licensed professions) for in-service training to
assist State licensed practitioners in gaining knowledge of Pastoral Medicine modalities.
- Establishment of standards
for the commissioning and licensure of practitioners of Pastoral Medicine.
